This week we're digging into how NFTs can power unique digital experiences for attendees of the worlds biggest IRL events. Let's dig in!

NYFW is a world renowned, semi-annual event series where the global fashion industry descends upon NYC to explore the freshest forthcoming fashions from top designers.

This year, AfterPay and NYFW partnered to create Keys to New York Fashion Week — a bespoke web3 activation, powered by thirdweb. It's one of the first collections to leverage dynamic utility: token-holders could choose between a priceless NYFW experience or a coveted designer keepsake. In order to reduce friction for users, the team used thirdweb's Paper.xyz integration for easy wallet creation (via social or email) and a hybrid fiat-crypto checkout.

The artwork was crafted by 5 next-level fashion designers who will be featured at this year's NYFW and proceeds from the NFT sales will go towards Free Arts NYC — an organization giving back to underserved arts communities in the city by providing them with educational tools. The Afterpay integration also meant that minters could buy the NFT in installments. Catch all the details on social.
