Need NFT Metadata? Use Insight.
Insight is a powerful blockchain indexer, which is also capable of handling lightning fast queries for blockchain data; including NFT Metadata, token balances and more.
Hey dev community,
Welcome back to thirdweb weekly, where we’re focusing in on builders building: exactly like the EVM ecosystem should be. While thirdweb’s been at ETH Denver, we haven’t been slowing down!
Take a look at what we shipped this week!
thirdweb Insight becomes more powerful than ever
We’re happy for Simplehash, which was acquired by Phantom! But if their plans to cease operations is less than ideal for your app—no worries!
We just upgraded thirdweb Insight, integrating NFT metadata into its NFT balance endpoints for ERC-721 and ERC-1155 tokens—meaning Insight offers everything you could need and more.
And that’s not all! Here’s what else we’ve shipped for insight just this week:
Query any token balance
Simply query any erc-20, erc-721 or ERC-115 token balance for any address, with:
• Customizable responses
• Intelligent pagination
• Advanced filtering options
• Materialized views for lightning-fast results
Display comprehensive Metadata
Even display comprehensive details for users alongside their balances, such as the token’s:
Name
Description
Image URL
Background color
External URL
Collection
& more!
Access to Blockchain data just got 10 x faster
Get blockchain data when you need it. Our improved indexing logic has reduced p99 query latency to under 1.5 seconds across all chains, significantly improving response speed on larger chains.
Want to try it out? All endpoints are available on our playground: ERC-20 queries, ERC-721 queries and ERC-1155 queries.
No more block explorers or source code verifiers
The Insight API now supports querying contract metadata and ABIs. Developers can access verified contract metadata and ABIs for all supported chains directly within Insight, eliminating the need to interact with block explorers and third-party source code verifiers.
Why rely on other platforms if you don’t need to? Learn more about how it works in the changelog
Insight now supports Ethereum Name Service (ENS)
The Insight API now supports Ethereum Name Service (ENS) names in address fields. Developers can use ENS names instead of raw Ethereum addresses when querying API endpoints, simplifying the process and improving readability
Insight and Engine wallets are now integrated into .NET and Unity frameworks
Great news! We’ve integrated the Insight Indexer and Engine Wallet with .NET and Unity frameworks. This integration allows developers to leverage thirdweb's blockchain data processing and wallet functionalities within their .NET and Unity applications, enhancing the development experience.
That’s all for this week folks! Hope you have a happy weekend, and we’ll see you next week.
